Dressing up

Our next door neighbor invited us to her house to dress up in preparation for girls day (Hinamatsuri). She purchased a girl kimono for her grandaughter who is a year younger than Isabel, so she wanted to try it on her. She also made me get dressed up in kimono. It was a lot of fun. It is very unusual for Japanese people to invite you into their homes, so it was very special. Isabel didn't quite know what to make of it, but in the end I think she enjoyed it also.
